Design system for a data visualisation practice

Structure in ink; colour only where there is data or a decision.

Baseline publishes numbered sheets. A sheet states one finding, shows the evidence, and carries its method beside it, never above it.

The frame never changes. The interior is chosen from a finite set. Anything outside that set is a new decision, and a new decision needs a reason on the record.

S—00The system reference: colour, typography, spacing and grid, elements, figures, layouts, patterns, components and the build contract, every specimen drawn by the shipped bundle.

Explorations outside the system · not precedent
Baseline / T
The audit fork, built by a design team with Tufte as a lens. Its decisions (Public Sans, range frames and end values, the label ladder, declared overlap) entered 0.4 as amendments 4 and 13. The Material kit maps the major Material 3 component families into the Baseline idiom.
Mobile
Phone-scale screens in the /T idiom: square edges, ink structure, one accent per screen. The source has no mobile app, so this kit sets no rule for one.
